CAVEATS:

  • You will waste teaching periods, get over it.
  • Prep time will get consumed in ways you never expected.
  • Adopt a sound methodology when implementing any tool.

SOUND METHODOLOGY:

  1. Understand your district's Internet usage policies.
  2. Play with the tool, understand the options.
  3. Decide how 'open' the space will be (understand security).
  4. Tie the tool to a good lesson objective.
  5. Follow educational best practices.
